I'M BACK!!!!!

WOW!!!!! It's been almost 2 weeks since i last updated my blog. I've been soooooooo busy these past few weeks at work. Sometimes i'll be off from work at about 8.30pm to finish up some work load. Gee thanks, i have to cut out part of my social life but i'm fine with it as i enjoy my new job & i'm kind of getting used to it.

Some days when there's not many work i'll be off as early as 5.30pm or on Fridays at 4.30. I just love Fridays. Smiles & cheerful. If i could recall the times i actually went out or CHILL was on the weekends and lately yesterday for pool with friends. I'm really looking forward for this weekend to probably catch a movie.

Oh & not to forget i'm actually still hunting for working shirts. Especially this Dark Purple Shirt from Padini which i'm unable to find the size. It's weird that 5 different outlets i went to does not have my size anymore. I wonder who bought it coz i've never seen anyone SO FAR yet wearing it to work. Till then will update more interesting things happening towards the weekends.

STEP UP 3D - Review

After weeks & weeks of attempts to watch STEP UP 3D, finally about few hours ago i watched it. To top that off i had the front row seats to watch it. I was hoping so badly that the screen was not really that close but HELL YEAH it was just nice & not too close.

It didn't really amazed me much as i thought it was nothing much for 3D. It was better off without it. What i thought lost the originality of this Step Up franchise was that it was more break dance-ish like the movie You Got Served rather than the creativity that made Step Up really famous & good.

The characters was alright & acting was fine. What it failed to present was what Step Up was really all about. Out of all the 3 franchise, the first one was still the best. For those who have not watched it, either 3D or without 3D would do as it was not much of a difference at all compared to previous 3D movies i watched so far. The dance scenes are pretty fine too.

Selamat Hari Raya 2010..

Last week was Hari Raya. The last day of work for me was on Wednesday so i did catch up on Resident Evil Afterlife 3D & i even followed Sha to go fix her phone but ended up i bought a Blackberry phone cover too. I spent my last sahur with Sha at Nasi Kandar Pelita. On thursday it was actually the eve of Hari Raya. I went to visit my late dad's grave & collected some Raya food such as Rendang Ayam & Daging, and also some satay and kuah kacang.

On Hari Raya itself, went for Raya prayers & later on did all the normal routines for Hari Raya by visiting relative's houses one by one. This year for raya is different as there are not much places to go to. I had to give "Duit Raya" to my cousins as i'm now employed so it's a must to give out money but hey i did get some from my uncles & aunties. I have to say it was a good investment for Raya every year. Hehe.

I
did play some fireworks at my cousin's house but apart from that nothing much happened this year for raya. To me it felt like any other day probably because i have spent more than 20 years celebrating Raya in KL & i really once wished that i could celebrate raya in a real 'kampung' environment to have a taste of what it's like to raya in the village.

RESIDENT EVIL AFTERLIFE 3D : Movie Review

Yesterday, Sha & I managed to watch Resident Evil Afterlife in 3D. I finished work at about 4.30pm & reached PJ around 5pm. So later at about 6pm i picked up Sha & went to Brickfields's Pos Laju to collect her purchases. At about 7.30 i arrived Midvalley Mall to buka puasa. We ate at Seed Cafe & both of us had the same food which was Chicken Rice.

At about 9pm we went to collect the tickets & we had to queue up to hand over our phones before getting in the cinema. Apparently this is the first time they are doing this. Sha & I arrived a bit early for the screening. Both of us were bored that Sha actually took pieces of paper & folded it. She even started poking me as she was bored & she misses her phone. Her statement was 'NO NO, i can't live without my phone, i need it now to update what i'm doing on.. Facebook and and.. Twitter and and.. Foursquare'.

The movie started at about 9.45pm. I have to say Resident Evil have never failed to please me. From the first movie till now the 4th movie, i really enjoy watching it. The best part of watching it was because it was 3D. The fight scenes were pretty cool. 'Matrix should have done 3D too'.Milla Jovovich reprises her role as Alice, Ali Larter as Claire & there are some new faces too in the movie that was also characeters from the video game.

In this movie, it continues back towards the end of the 3rd Resident Evil movie. There are a few characters that came back from the 3rd movie & not to forget there was Jill Valentine played by Sienna Guillory though i don't actually remember seeing her in the movie. Wentworth Miller is a new addition to the movie playing Claire's brother Chris. This movie is more focus on the Umbrella Corporation and Alice along with her new crew on board to save human kind.

This is so far the best 3D experience i had as i've only watched 3 movies in 3D. Haha.

I would like to wish Selamat Hari Raya Maaf Zahir & Batin to all my friends. Have a great weekend & drive safely to your hometowns.

US OPEN 2010

This year's US OPEN Tennis so far for the first week has been TREMENDOUS as the great players of tennis are still on the run. Former Grand Slams Champions are BACK for war with each other to capture their very last grand slam of the year. The early favourites for men comes in the shape of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. It has been a very long long journey for these 2 rivals as either one of them will win the US Open tournament this year. If Nadal wins it will be his 1st ever US Open title and it will be his first time ever completing all the grand slam titles. As for Federer it will be history for him to make with one of the 5 leading men with most grand slam titles.

Rafael Nadal

Roger Federer

The ladies this time around sadly has NO Serena Williams as she is the best women player up to date but this has not given hope for other great players such as Kim Clijsters & Maria Sharapova to grab the title. Clijsters is on a 17 matches winning streak for the US Open being retired at the time she won her first ever grand slam title in 2005 and coming back in 2009 to win it again. This might be an opportunity for her to grab her 3rd grand slam title in a row in the US Open. As for Sharapova it will be her 4th ever grand slam title if she wins it. She has made a remarkable comeback in tennis. Due to her injuries, her rankings has dropped and found herself crawling back to the TOP 10.

Kim Clijsters

Maria Sharapova

Other players to watch are Andy Murray with his ever improving game that made him beat Federer & Nadal in the US Open Series. Ana Ivanovic has made a stable & confident comeback to tennis reaching the 4th round facing Clijsters. Andy Roddick is seen stumbling these past few months. Caroline Wozniacki comes in as the top seed & also the underdog in this tournament and last but not least Venus Williams who is still in the run to capture her long awaited grand slam title of the year.

Andy Murray

Venus WIlliams

With the best players in the running in US Open, anything can happen & anybody could win the title as many are battling it out to grab the very last ever Grand Slam title of the year and to fight for the No 1 Ranking by the end of the year.

Andy Roddick

Ana Ivanovic

Merdeka Merdeka..

Last Tuesday it was Merdeka!!!! I was on holiday at that time. While some people in the office were working, i had the opportunity to take time off to rest & enjoy the holiday. 12am sharp i was actually driving in Shah Alam picking my brother up from college & i actually celebrated Merdeka all by myself in the car when colourful FIREWORKS came out.

On Tuesday itself i had a wonderful long sleep & at about 2.30i left to Muar with Sha & her family. We were going to 'buka puasa' in Muar as there was a mini gathering & many many foods were served. Sha's cousins Fifi & Yaya came along too with Fifi's boyfriend, Meon. At about 3.30pm we arrived Muar. That was really fast. An hour drive from KL to Muar.

When we arrived Muar, all of us went to the salon. Sha & I decided to trim our hair & coloured it. We spent more than 2 hours in the salon as Sha had the longest time to complete her hair dye. The lady trimmed her hair & as i could see all the hair on the floor could be glued up to make a wig for someone. As usual i had to force Sha to pick a colour for my hair.

At about 7pm we arrived the place for 'buka puasa'. The SATAY is amazing. It is so much better than Satay Kajang. It is so thin & tiny, that u get so addicted eating satay. U'll be eating more & more & without u realizing it, u actually have eaten 20 STICKS of Satay. DAMN..
